It puts your mind at rest and your computer resources to good use, while under normal circumstances, they would be idle.
Mining with Inner Vision is free and will never cost you anything to mine on this page. The mining is done through your browser so you do not have to use technical mining software, which is notirously difficult to install and set up. The miner uses your CPU resources to mine in the background. You can set the mining intensity such that it does not impede your work flow or disrupt your normal computer activity. Because it mines using your CPU (and not your GPU) means you can still watch videos and play games while the miner does it's thing in the background.

You can pause the miner at any time and it will stop mining automatically, when you close this web page or your browser.
Choosing a medium to low mining intensity is safe and will not damage your computer in any way. Higher intensity mining is for dedicacted mining rigs with high end hardware, and will only slow up your computer resources. If all you want to do is mine that is fine, but keep in mind running your computer for long periods of time uses eletricity which costs real money and mining is not always profitable.
